Overview
Semiquaver is a simple iOS music player. The main difference is that the music library lives in Apple Files instead of a hidden app folder.
That means you can use third-party file services, Nextcloud, Syncthing, or any other sync workflow that writes into Files to upload and keep your own music library in sync. It is built around music that belongs to you, stored where you can actually see and manage it.

Why this exists
Spotify costs money, VLC can be glitchy on iPhone, and many other free music players are bloated with ads.
Semiquaver exists as a minimal local music player for people who already have their own files and just want a clean way to play them.
Status
Semiquaver is in maintenance. The core player works, and future work is focused on small fixes and keeping the app reliable rather than adding large new features.
Features
- Library filters by artist and album.
- Playlist support for organizing local tracks.
- Shuffle and basic queue controls.
- Minimal interface focused on playing music without ads, accounts, or extra services.
